Mark is a member of the American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, Lancaster Bar Association, and National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys.
Mr. Walmer’s practice is limited to driving under the influence charges, drug offenses, juvenile cases and expungements and pardons.
Born and raised just north of Lancaster in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, Mark is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and Franklin Pierce Law Center, which is now known as the University of New Hampshire School of Law. He was also a Research Fellow at Harvard Law School in the Spring of 1987.
He initially pursued law school intending to practice environmental defense or immigration law, but found himself drawn to criminal defense based on his desire and passion to help people. Fighting for fairness and the best interest of his clients has always been an important ideal to him. He has long believed it is his duty as a lawyer to give honest, practical advice about the severity of the situation a client is in, in addition to all possible consequences and penalties.
Mark devotes a significant portion of his time to charitable organizations. In particular, he actively participates in the Have a Heart for Persons in the Criminal Justice System, which works with the Lancaster County Prison advocating for optimal standards. Additionally, he speaks at high schools and colleges throughout the Lancaster area about the criminal justice system and how to avoid committing crimes by making good decisions.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his three daughters and wife, playing the guitar, running and volleyball.
“Fighting for fairness and the best interest of my clients has always been important to me.”
